An orchestral show piece based around five of Stephen Foster's most popular melodies. The score is constructed so that it may be played completely as written or one selection at a time. There are featured solos for the principal cello and trombone. There are also two improvised solos, one for a jazz trumpet and one for any other jazz player (trombone would be best).
Special requirements: A good rhythm section, jazz trumpet and trombone players.
